6 Sided Dice Probability

Dice Probability

Dice Probability

In my Math lesson today I learned about probability.

This was fairly easy for me because I remember doing this in Algebra 1/2.

Probability is determining the chance or probability of the event. For example our event is a 6 sided dice with numbers 1-6 where none of the numbers are the same.

First we must set up the equation.

Probability of Event = # of ways it can happen/Total # of possible outcomes

Total possible outcomes in our example = 6
We want to know the chance of rolling 5 and 4
# of ways then = 2

Event = either 5 or 4

P(5 or 4) = 2/6 = 1/3

So the answer = 1/3

See pretty easy, it only took 10 minutes for me to explain it to you.

You understood that right? I sure hope so.
