Illinois Geography: Fort Massac

Fort Massac is my favorite place to go in Illinois. Every year they do a re-enactment at the fort. Everyone that works there during the re-enactment wears clothing that was worn from the time when the fort was built. They also make many things from that time period like trinkets, arrow heads, wooden swords and magnifying lenses. Then there is the famous root beer they make (it’s really good). We camp out near the river where we go to practice our lens fire building. I look forward to this annual event in Illinois.
